. The paper presents the results of experimental studies hydrodynamics coolant in core PWR reactor with fuel assemblies “TVS-Kvadrat” various designs. Experimental consisted studying velocity fields and process cross-flow between adjacent designs homogeneous mixed cores on large-scale models, including fragments two a gap them. test models differ number installed grids, this is due to fact that hydraulic load along height identical, uneven different grids. has been studied an aerodynamic open-loop based theory hydrodynamic similarity, using individually calibrated pneumometric sensors. Based data obtained, local axial transverse velocities sections length section have constructed. dimensionless flow bundles studied. Peculiarities revealed. transferred developer “TVS-Kvadrat”, JSC “Experimental Design Bureau Mechanical Engineering named after I. Afrikantov”, for further use justifying design operating modes nuclear power plant.
